ARIEL GALLERY
Ariel Gallery was founded in 1984 by Lin A. Hightower. It opened as a juried artist partnership gallery of fine arts and fine crafts at 75 Bennett Street in the Buckhead Peachtree Stree area of Atlanta Ga. It has had the same logo since 1984. The logo was designed by graphic designer Hope Ayo of Atlanta. In 1999 Ariel transitioned to a consultant Gallery that represents American and International craftspeople. Visual Arts-Our First Known Language of Communication
Experiencing and understanding the beautiful crafted objects that human hands make, helps us value each unique human life and their culture. I, as an artist and as a university art professor envision a World in which All Life is Valued through experiencing the visual arts, our First Language of Communication.
Helping world artists find a market for their art. and preserve their indigenous crafts is my vision. Many of the world artists who make the work you will see here have limited education and economic opportunities. However, you will find that education and economic status are not prerequisites to creativity and master craft skills. As a studio artist/designer, I try to work as directly as possible with the artists or through fellow artists who work with world crafts people.
I hope you find items you like, will help support the artists and help preserve the indigenous crafts of our global community. I also hope you will join with me in celebrating the diversity and the commonality of the human spirit. Thank you for visiting Ariel Gallery and our artists.
